| You see, I'm a little different from most super heroes. I can't fly, I'm really not all that strong, and I don't have any special powers. There is one thing I have, though, and evil can never ever beat it. Do you know what it is? |
The Sword...
It's my sword! Not the kind of sword that is made out of metal, though. The sword I use is much, much stronger and sharper than that! I'm talking about the Sword of the Spirit! |

The Sword of the Spirit
The Sword of the Spirit is the very best tool a person can have for finding the truth. It's my Bible! My Bible has never failed me, and if you learn how to use one, the Bible will never fail you, either!
So, when I'm out fighting for the Truth, I don't need to be able to fly or to see through walls or to have super strength–all I need is the tool God gave me–my Sword of the Spirit. My Bible!

My Favorite Bible Verse is
Hebrews 4:12...
It says,
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
That verse is so cool, because it reminds me of what a powerful tool God's Word is. That's WAY better than any super powers! And the best part is that you can use the Bible the same way!

Think About It...
Whenever there's trouble and you don't know what you should do, just pull out your "sword"–that is, your Bible! If you know where to find it, you can find answers that work for any problem you run into to!
Just like anything, though, you have to practice! You have to practice using your "sword" all the time. That way, when trouble comes, you'll be able to find out what God wants you to do about it just like that! So, keep your Bible–your sword–close to you all the time, and try to memorize what it says.
That way, you'll be a master "swordsman!"
