Did you know...
The parting of the Red Sea wasn't the only time God moved water out of the way for people to cross through?
We all know the story in Exodus chapter 14 when God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites to cross through on dry ground, but that wasn't the only time God moved water aside for His people. In Joshua chapter 3, God stopped the flow of the the Jordan river so that the Israelites could cross over into the promised land. God also divided the waters of the river Jordan twice more in 2 Kings chapter 2 for Elijah and Elisha! |
Did you know...
Paul Revere wasn't the only person to warn the American colonists of the British invasion during the Revolutionary War?
You may know the story of Paul Revere's famous horse ride in which he cried, "The British are coming!" What you may not know is that there was another horse rider who also warned the colonists to prepare to fight the invasion. This rider rode for 40 miles, while Paul Revere rode only ten miles, warning all the colonists to prepare to fight in an all-night ride. The most interesting thing of all is that this second horse rider was a sixteen year old girl named Sybil Ludington! |
